Deconstructing a Tie

For my personal project I have chose to base it on 'ties'.

I gathered together a collection of ties and starting to develop the shapes & forms.

One way i developed this idea was to deconstruct the tie shape and see how it was made.

Within this image you can see the Tie is made up of 3 panels and has 2 pieces of lining for the top and bottom of the Tie. To the right of the Tie panels you can also see that within the Tie there is a thick lining, this is so that the Tie can hold its shape.
